Pacquiao defeats Clottey by unanimous decision

WBO welterweight champion and pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquiao defeated former IBF champion Joshua Clottey in front of 50, 994 crowd Saturday evening at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Pacquiao outpuched Clottey 4, 5 and even 6 to 1 at times. The Ghanian boxer seemed interested in surviving the fight than winning as he would rarely throw punches over the Filipino boxing superstar. Pacquiao landed 246 of 1,231 punches, while Clottey landed 108 of 399.

Clottey never fought aggressively despite exhortations from the corner outlanding him  in final unaninous decision by the hudges.
