CHARICE has just launched her album in Japan. One of the bonus tracks for its Japan edition is her cover of the song Crescent Moon, an original of Japanese pop star Ayaka.

Crescent Moon is Mikazuki in its original Japanese version. The song was a hit in Japan the first time it was released. This is a great cover of Charice. As usual, she gave justice to the song.

Texas Rangers Manager Ron Washington was found postive for cocaine in a drug test administered by the Major League Baseball on July 2009.

Washington offered to resign from his post but the Rangers decided to keep him after apologizing and feeling sorry for the 'stupid' and 'shameful' behavior that he said he only did once.

Website SI.com first reported the failed cocaine test with an interview of Washington admitting the drug use.

"I made a huge mistake and it almost caused me to lose everything I have worked for all of my life," Washington said in a press conference Wednesday.

NEW TV series 'Justified' will make its debut tonight on FX channel, Tuesday, March 16 at 10pm EST. Actors Walton Goggins and Timothy Olyphant will play the lead roles as Boyd Crowder and Raylan Givens respectively.

The series tell about the story Deputy US Marshall Raylan Givens from Kentucky-- a place to which he vowed he would never return. Unfortunately after shooting a gun thiig in a Miami hotel, he was sent by his superiors back to Kentucky where he met his old friend and fellow coal-miner who is now a notorius bank robber.

LADY Gaga's newest 'Telephone' music video was banned by the music channel MTV for airing because of its inappropriate and provocative content not necessary for general viewers.

The music channel refused to play the video because it's too raunchy. Artists are showing boobs and too much skin. It also features some lesbian kissing scenes.

Telephone music video also features Beyonce and directed by Jonas Akerland.

Betty White to host 'Saturday Night Live'

The 88-year old actress and Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards Lifetime Achievement awardee Betty White will host the Saturdat Night Live (SNL) show.

NBC confirmed in an announcement that White will host the show starting May 8 this year. It was followed by a massive online campaign which attracted nearly half a million supportres.

In her entire acting career, White starred in several movies and that includes her famous movie "The Golden Girls".

Pacquiao defeats Clottey by unanimous decision

WBO welterweight champion and pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquiao defeated former IBF champion Joshua Clottey in front of 50, 994 crowd Saturday evening at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Pacquiao outpuched Clottey 4, 5 and even 6 to 1 at times. The Ghanian boxer seemed interested in surviving the fight than winning as he would rarely throw punches over the Filipino boxing superstar. Pacquiao landed 246 of 1,231 punches, while Clottey landed 108 of 399.

Clottey never fought aggressively despite exhortations from the corner outlanding him in final unaninous decision by the hudges.

The officail score card tells 120-108, 119-109, 119-109 all for Pacquiao.

British crime writer Dick Francis dies at 89

BESTSELLING and award-winning British mystery writer Dick Francis died at the age of 89 at his home in the Cayman Islands, according to his family.

Francis was a former jockey before he started his writing career as a correspondent for Britain's Sunday Express paper after he took up a writing course.

He has sold more than 60 million books and published 42 novels in his entire writing career. He began writing novels in 1962 and became known for his mysteries.

We Are The World 25 For Haiti: Various artists remake

RECORDING artists like Barbra Streisand, Kanye West, Miley Cyrus, Celine Dion, Josh Groban and many others shared their talent in the remake of 'We Are The World' for the victims of the killer earthquake that hit Haiti in January. The remake version is now dubbed as 'We Are The World 25 For Haiti' and launched in the Vancouver Winter Olympics.

The first version was recorded 25 years ago by various artists including Michael Jackson for United Support of Artists for Africa (USA for Africa) to raise awareness of the famine that was happening in Africa that time.

The second star-studded version was recorded after 25 years in the same studio (A&M Recording Studios now known as Henson Recording Studios) where it was first recorded.

The project was produced by the original producer Quency Jones with the song's co-writer Lionel Richie.The song is available for download at the iTune store. Proceeds will go to a foundation that will help the earthquake victims in Haiti to establish a new life.

Some 80 or nearly hunred recording artists lent their voice in making this project possible. Perhaps the best part in this version is the chorus which is still sang by the original voice Michael Jackson accompanied by his sister Janet Jackson.

Georgian luger dies in a tragic crash in Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics

THE festive mood of the 2010 Vancouver Olympics opening ceremony was contrasted with the grief for the death of luger Nodar Kumaritashvili, an athlete from Georgia who died in accident in the sliding track during a training run at Whistler Sliding Center.

Here's a short video of the horrific crash/accident that happened just hours ahead of the opening ceremony. Kumaritashvili died after flying off the Olympic luge track and smashing into the metal pillar at high speed.

PUBLICIST Teal Cannady said Wednesday in a statement she did not further elaborate that the Hollywood couple Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins have already split-up this summer after 23 years of staying together.

Sarandon, 63, and Robbins, 51, met in the set of the 1988 film “Bull Durham” where Tim played a hotshot pitcher while Susan was the passionate fan who simultaneously seduced him and prepared him for the big leagues.
The couple's relationship was then considered most enduring among the Hollywood couples despite not being legally married. They have two sons together, Jack, 20, and Miles, 17.
